Marimba Network Engineer

Our client is a worldwide information technology consulting services and solutions company looking for a BMC Marimba Network Engineer to work across multiple enterprise environmentsenterprise environments.

Activities include:

•Partner with on-site team members to develop/implement Patch Management and Software Distribution strategies, design/create/support Lab/Packaging/Test/Prod environments, build/update/deploy software packages, and provide training/mentoring to other associates.
•Deploying/tuning/upgrading/support Marimba infrastructure components (SQL database, Active Directory, Master Transmitter, Repeaters, Tuners).
•Design and Implement Dameware MiniRemote enterprise deployments from start to finish using Marimba for distribution.
•Provide innovative Deskside solutions for clients to improve their environment and reduce overall support.
Create desktop/laptop images for enterprise distribution (consisting of software installs, scripting, hardware selection, configuration, integration testing, documentation and delivery).
REQUIREMENTS
Provide 3rd level technical support to the Global Service Desk and Deskside Support teams in support of internal and customer accounts.
•Must have 4 years experience with Windows 2000 and/or Windows XP.
•Should be familiar with Group Policy Objects and security settings associated with locking down an image.
•Must have at least 2 years experience with the Wise Admin Studio 4x/5x
•Must be proficient with Custom Actions
•Must be fluent with MST’s (Transforms) and MSP’s (Patches)
•Must be familiar with modification of Tables
•Have knowledge of how and when to use Features and Conditions
•Have knowledge of how to troubleshoot and fix MSI errors
•Have knowledge of advertising best practices
•Have knowledge of how to use merge modules
•Have knowledge of Wise scripting logic
•Have ability to explain ICE errors vs. ACE errors
•Must have GPO experience (Active Directory experience 1 year)
•Must have 1 year experience using Ghost to create images
•MCP Windows 2000 and or 2003 desired.
•IIS 5.0 experience will be a plus.
•SQL 2000 experience will be a plus.
•Altiris 6.0 experience will be a major plus.
•VB scripting, Java Scripting, C# Scripting, Macro (Wise VB) scripting a Major Plus.
•Networking experience, Server installation and configuration experience
•Software Database Management
•Conflict Resolution, Pre-flight checklist experience.
•VMware workstation 4.x

With this position, candidates would be able to work remotely. MUST have the ability to be cleared to Top Secret security level

MUST be a US citizen, as this is a Governement contract position.
