Law Enforcement Training Coordinator
As the Law Enforcement Training Coordinator assigned to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office Training Center … you will be positioned as liaison between the training center and the agency’s law enforcement components tasked in supporting the development, production and distribution of training solutions to fulfill their training needs. These solutions will focus on training courses related to general, high liability, deputy (re) certification, and specialized course training requirements; will utilize up-to-date instructional web-based materials, manuals, training aids, and other types of accepted training practices to satisfy these solutions.
You will assist with the selection and assignment of guest and agency instructors; monitoring of class students and course instructors; development of instructor guidelines and procedures. Maintain a professional working, advisory, and problem resolving relationship with agency supervisory/instructional staff, and recruit/student personnel.

REQUIREMENTS
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
> Associate degree, Bachelor degree preferred, 15-semester hrs in a
Criminal Justice program preferred.
> Typing skills of 25 wpm
> Minimum of 5 years teaching experience, 2 years in the field of Criminal
Justice.
> 5+ years working in a Criminal Justice discipline preferred.
> Must possess, or qualify for, CJSTC Instructor certification.
> Must obtain, within the 1st year of appointment, CMS, and one (1) of four
(4) high liability instructor certification.
> Must pass medical examination; drug screening; polygraph; background
investigation.
Must be adept in computer office management tools (Word, Power Point, Excel), ability to design, develop and implement training programs, coordinate with L/E staff course scheduling, implement new program curricula, serve as subject matter expert for instructional/advisory staff on academic curriculum and technical information. Effective oral, written and interpersonal communications skills.
