Language Tester

Titan Req. No.: TOSG201Duties and Responsibilities:Language Tester ensuring the overall language testing program management, administration and effectiveness. Design and administer English and foreign language assessment tests to determine comprehension and level of understanding of the language among linguist candidates and employees. Work with the Operations Manager and the Site Managers to identify linguist shortcomings, develop training manuals, and remedial packets for employees. Administer the ESL test to the linguists as required. Measure language skills to ILRT and DLI standards.Education and Experience Requirements:(a) Minimum required:
Excellent communications skills. Strong ability to work as a member of a diverse, dynamic team. Achieve a DLI/ILRT score of 4 in reading, writing and speaking in both Pashto and Dari. Previous experience as a linguist. Certificate in TEFL (teaching English as a second language), degree in linguistics or certified as a DLI language tester. Five years experience or Bachelors degree in related field. Good physical condition. Must hold a U.S. passport. Should have strong administrative and verifiable computer skills (MS Office applications)(b) Desired:
A thorough knowledge of cultural, economic, geopolitical, and military issues of the South Asia countries within that region. Previous operational experience as linguist in support of Government operations. Previous experience managing linguists during Department of Defense operations. Masters degree is a related field. An ability to operate standard and specialized office automation equipment to process foreign language material..
