JOLTSaz Sr. Programmer Specialist VII

The JOLTSaz development team is looking for an out-going, self-starter and solution-oriented programmer to join their team. This project encompasses a complete rewrite of an existing data rich system that has been in place for almost fifteen years.This position will work very closely with the team business analysts and fellow programmers to development a new statewide juvenile probation tracking system. This position will assist in the design, creation and implementation of the new JOLTSaz system. This position will also conduct disciplined planning sessions and perform technical evaluations of existing software to assess probable risk of conflict with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have the ability to quickly and effectively analyze requirements; establish productive working relationships with diverse user groups and internal staff; prioritize and meet deadlines; and demonstrate methodical and timely software development skills.FIRST REVIEW: September 1, 2006

REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (advanced degree preferred) and at least seven (7) years experience programming, analysis, design, development, implementation, quality assurance and applications support with a minimum of three (3) years experience programming and producing enterprise level, component structured, distributed applications. An extensive understanding and familiarity with windows and web application development for .Net platform using VB.Net (preferably) and/or C# and experience using relational databases is important. A thorough knowledge of the project development cycle including, but not limited to, source control and change management procedures is needed. The ability to travel within the state of Arizona up to 10% is required.SELECTION PROCESS:Positions may take 4-6 weeks to fill.
