Homeland Security Operations Planner/Analyst, Mid

Key Role:Provide analytical and contingency planning support for national-level Department of Homeland Security projects in support of emergency preparedness. Provide a senior executive with policy analysis and technical support. Plan, organize, and lead tasks and projects and ensure the quality of client deliverables. Apply well-developed consulting, assignment management, and functional skills in the execution of the work. This position will likely require support to the client onsite in Washington, DC.



Job Requirements













Basic Qualifications (Required):


-1+ years of experience with homeland security or related mission areas, including transportation and border security, emergency preparedness and response, incident management, critical infrastructure protection, or information analysis


-Experience with developing policy documents, analytic studies, and concept of operations documents


-BA or BS degree





Additional Qualifications:


-5+ years of experience in a professional work environment


-1+ years of experience with government policy processes or operational or strategic planning preferred


-Experience with providing direct support to senior managers


-Knowledge of Microsoft Office


-Ability to develop executive-level briefings


-Possession of excellent analytical skills


-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills


-MA or MS degree in Political Science, Economics, Business, Public Administration, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred


-TS/SCI clearance preferred
