Government Sales Rep

We seek an accomplished and self-motivated individual to contribute to a dynamic and cross-functional sales team within the Columbus, Ohio region. The sales representative will add to the success of our client by: • Representing the company in a professional manner • Penetrating the State and Local Government markets to meet or exceed established sales goal • Establishing and maintaining positive, long-term customer relationships • Acquiring and maintaining a working knowledge of the essential details of the products and services we sell • Maintaining and completing all necessary reports including but not limited to: 90 day plans, sales lead status, and call reporting.
REQUIREMENTS
• 3 years of experience calling on State and Local Government entities • Experience calling on Ohio State University is a plus • Commitment to sales excellence, highly motivated, with a proven history as a top sales performer • B.S. or B.A. preferred • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Independent work discipline, attention to detail, and strong time management and organization skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with contact management software considered a plus • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions • Ability to develop and close deals Compensation and benefits: • Competitive compensation commensurate with responsibilities and experience • Medical and dental programs • Life insurance, accidental death, and long-term disability plans • Retirement savings in the form of a 401(k) plan with employer match.
