Required: Bachelor’s degree or possess 6 years equivalent work experience.
Desired: Master’s Degree.Experience:Must have at least six years recent GCCS experience and / or JOPES/DCAPES. Position requires previous experience integrating GCCS training requirements, and an understanding of Joint and Air Force C2 planning processes and responsibilities. Possess expertise in analyzing capability requirements and determining adequate technical solutions for GCCS issues. Familiar with GCCS Common Operational Picture (COP). Have ability to provide technical assistance to resolve system engineering and maintenance concerns, and define requirements for logistics support. Prior staff experience at Air Force Major Command highly desired.Place of performance: Langley AFB, VA. Travel requirement is medium.Job Description:
The position requires interface with staff agencies. GCCS SME develops and provides support to command level briefings and staff packages for senior personnel developing, defending and justifying budgets as they proceed through USAF and DoD reviews. Support development of acquisition strategies, project schedules, program plans, financial plans, and other documentation.
Support AFC2ISRC program manager on configuration and technical issues. Supports the evaluation of technical data, technical manuals, engineering changes, deployment plans and procedures for content and accuracy.
Support force structure requirements and manage requirements for sustainment and interactions with associated systems.
Support requirements definition and establishment of requirements for system upgrades/improvements.
Provide training/training management on GCCS.Required:
Secret security clearance is required. Applicant must have a security clearance -- no exceptions.
6 years+ using GCCS and/or JOPES/DCAPES
Understanding of Joint and Air Force deployment planning processes
Staff Experience at major command or Air Force headquarters level
