Under general direction, the Grants Administrator oversees assigned grant purchases, budgets, costs recovery tracking/reimbursement, and all associated grant financial functions for the Office of Emergency Management. In addition, has overall responsibility and accountability for assigned Fairfax County Homeland Security, Domestic Preparedness and Emergency Management grant programs. The Grants Administrator is responsible for management of all aspects of assigned grant programs and financial projects. Assists agency personnel with financial and reporting aspects of costs recovery associated with FEMA disaster declarations. Works in the Emergency Operations Center when activated to manage emergencies. Serves as emergency service personnel, which means that the appointee must report to work during times of inclement weather or other emergencies.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications: Any combination of education, experience and training equivalent to graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a bachelor’s degree; plus four years of professional work experience.
