NOTE: These positions are available in all major cities across the entire US. Our office is located in the Washington DC area, but we have these training positions open nationwide. All candidates must be US Citizens and pass a minimum background investigation involving credit and criminal history.

Alltech is beginning the process of finding professionals to join the Lockheed/Alltech Team for the upcoming 2006/2007 TSA Passenger Screener Recertification Program (ReCert). The program is expected to run from January 2007 until the end of September 2007. We have been assisting Lockheed/TSA for the past 3 years in the annual recertification of all passenger and baggage screeners at the 435 Airports across the country. This certification is mandated by Congress.

This is an exciting program and is an important part of our Country's homeland defense initiative. The travel and experiences can be exciting and interesting if you like people, are flexible, and like significant travel. We are looking for team members who are willing to work hard, have a great attitude, don't mind change, and will be dedicated to the success of the program and the security of our Country.

This is not a traditional stand-up, classroom-training program. To give you a feel for what our instructors have experienced in the past:
You will be required to lead and evaluate individual TSA employees through a series of job functions, such as hand wanding, physical pat-down, and ETD to ensure they are following approved TSA procedures.
Each team member follows strict testing scenarios and will take turns (depending on gender of TSA employee) hiding objects (i.e. a toy knife in a pocket) that the TSA employee must find as part of the exercise.
The TSA employees will be graded and the data entered into a PDA for data upload on a daily basis. If an employee fails a test module, one-on-one training is provided and the employee is retested.
The program requires close one-on-one interaction with TSA employees, and many hours of being on your feet.
Typical deployments are 3 weeks straight in the field, with 1 week off (unpaid), but schedule can vary widely depending on TSA requirements.
Teams of 2 or more will be deployed to each site (male/female) depending on airport site, and some teams will drive between regional airports as appropriate.
Travel to evaluation locations is typically on Sundays, with return flights on Saturdays after the deployment has ended.
The weeks are generally 40 hours, over a five-day period, with an additional paid allowance for travel time.
Pay is anticipated to be $30.00/hr, plus a $2.50/hr completion bonus (a total of $32.50 per hour)
Normal Government authorized travel per diem would also be provided.
