DD HLD Maritime Analyst

Individual will support the Joint Staff, J-3 Directorate, J-34 Deputy Director for Anti-terrorism/Homeland Defense (DD AT/HD), Homeland Defense Division (HD DIV), Air/Land/Maritime Branch (ALM) working on the coordination of Air/Land/Maritime Combatant Commander Homeland Defense requirements and orders. Among other duties, the individual will assist in coordination of :
The national effort to achieve Maritime Domain Awareness
Counter Drug orders supporting Joint Task Force-North (JTF-N)
Support of National Special Security Events (NSSEs) with a particular focus on air defense
Coordinate DoD support to the President of the United States (POTUS) and the Vice President of the United States (VPOTUS).
Individual will monitor and coordinate US Northern Command (NORTHCOM), North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), and US Pacific Command (PACOM) actions in support of Homeland Defense. Individual will assist in issues with Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense-Homeland Defense (OASD-HD) in coordination with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Interagency.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Tasks will include, but will not be limited to:
Staffing Joint Chairman’s Instructions, CONPLANs and drafting and staffing orders (PLANORDs, EXORDs, DEPORDs)
Joint Staff exercise support, preparing power point presentations and information papers
Attending Interagency meetings and conferences
Responding to general Joint Staff Action Officer (AO) actions.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
oFamiliarity with the roles and responsibilities of Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), the Joint Staff (JS), the Services, Combatant Commanders, DHS, and the Interagency.
oIn-depth knowledge of air/land/maritime operations.
oProficient writer and communicator.
oPossess a minimum of a B.S./B.A. degree.
oTS/SCI clearance.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior staff-level experience within OSD, the Joint Staff, or at a joint command is a plus.
Prior USN or USCG Operations Officer experience.QUALIFICATIONS & ADDITIONAL INFOPlace of duty is the Pentagon
