Contract Specialist

Our client located in Livermore, CA is seeking a Contract Specialist to perform the following duties: Candidate must have a government contracting background with extensive knowledge of military supplements. Candidate must have the ability to serve in a general contracting support role. Must have contracting experience and knowledge of the FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations). Familiarity with Federal Supply Schedule, blanket purchase agreements, task orders, and Government- wide Acquisition Contracts.

Working in a client environment, the candidate must have strong communication, writing and inter-personal skills. Reviews requests for contract services; Analyzes the requirements, recommends revisions to the statement of work or specifications as necessary, and decides on the type of contract, milestones and procurement plans; prepare solicitation documents; solicits proposals from prospective contractors; analyze proposals for conformance with the solicitation;performs cost or price analysis, including review of cost breakdowns to determine reasonableness;negotiates with potential contractors.

This position is an indefinite assignment, and full time.
