Business Applications Support Programmer

OUR COMPANY
Based in Las Vegas, Nevada, Bechtel SAIC Company, LLC, is built on the collective strengths of two internationally recognized organizations - Bechtel National, Inc., and Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). The organizations have joined forces to create BSC, which is now the prime contractor implementing solutions for the Yucca Mountain Project.

YOUR OPPORTUNITY
This position is in the Business Applications Support organization under Information Services group of the Bechtel SAIC Co's Information Systems & Technology Department. The position develops new computer software and performs analysis and maintenance on existing production software including preparing program specifications using functional and/or design specifications; Prepares estimates of time and computer use requirements for software development assignments; Designs and documents software by preparing diagrams and internal specification documentation; Writes program code, conducts software testing, prepares software documentation and works with other organizations regarding the deployment of software into the production environment.
REQUIREMENTS
B.S. in Computer Science with 2-5 years experience software engineering.
Working knowledge of modern programming languages (e.g. Java, C/C++ VB.Net) required.
Experience with relational database design and programming required.
Must be able to develop new computer software and performs analysis and maintencance on existing production software including preparing program specifications using functional and/or design specifications.
Must be able to prepare estimates of time and computer use requirements for software development assignments.
Must be able to design and document software by preparing diagrams and internal specification documentation.
Experience with Lotus Notes and/or ColdFusion a plus.
