Transfill Technician

I. SUMMARY
Responsible for filling high-pressure oxygen tanks and operating relevant equipment.

II. JOB FUNCTIONS
A. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Fills high-pressure oxygen tanks.
Maintains filling equipment as necessary for safe operation.
Manages territory to reach service goals for oxygen in accordance with industry standards, applicable government regulations and company policies and procedures.
Complies with all applicable company policies and procedures.
Completes written production and delivery documents accurately and legibly.
Processes all orders in a timely and accurate manner.
Develops technical knowledge, as appropriate, of the HME or respiratory products and services provided by the company.

B. Other Duties and Responsibilities
Participates in regular hazardous material handling training.
Report equipment hazards and/or products incidents in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Assists with implementation of quality improvement program to meet company and JCAHO standards.
Performs other duties as required.

A. Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
1 year experience preferred

B. Certifications, License, Registrations
If required to substitute during staffing shortages of Transfill Delivery
Possess Commercial Driver’s License with hazardous materials and/or other endorsements as required by State.
Meet qualifications according to Department of Transportation.
Ability to maintain certification necessary to fill and clean equipment.
Ability to pass and maintain vendor training classes and become certified per manufacturer’s training.
Maintains a good driving record
Maintains a valid driver’s license

C. Communication Skills
Ability to clearly communicate and interact in a positive manner with other Rotech employees, patients, customers and vendors.
Possesses good written communication skills.

D. Analytical Skills
Ability to determine when equipment is unsafe.
Determine appropriate corrective actions for safety hazards or incidents.
Prioritize tasks to be performed for optimal efficiency.

E. Physical Demands
Loading and unloading of equipment
Ability to lift in excess of 100 lbs on a regular basis

F. Machines, Equipment and Technical Abilities
Operates machinery used for loading and unloading
Operates office equipment
Mechanical aptitude with ability to learn

Subject to extreme temperatures and climates
Warehouse environment
