Security Campus Safety Officer

Security Campus Safety Officer PT & FT positions available This position works to ensure the protection and safety of the Rhodes community; Must work under pressure with attention to detail, manages numerous programs and events simultaneouslyandindependently; Conducts both walking and mobile patrols of interior and exterior locations; Monitors and controls parking; Secures and unlocks specific campus facilities; Provides escorts and access to authorized areas as needed. Assists with care and maintenanceofdepartment equipment and supplies; Maintainsdepartment records, reports and files as required. High school diploma or GEDrequired;valid Drivers license required. Mustpossessexcellent customer service skills utilizingstronganalytical skills, excellent communication, interpersonal and administrative skills, and be detail-oriented; Must passpre-employment physical and drug screen. Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle required. Minimum one year of security experience or comparable organizational experience (e.g., military, police and/or safety) preferred; certification as an Unarmed Officer with the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance is preferred.
