Rework/VI Coordinator

DeVilbiss Air Power Company, a Division of Black & Decker currently has an opening for Rework/VI Coordinator on 1st shift.

Description:
· Perform and lead rework activities to support production. This includes determining rework process, estimating the cost, and training operators.
· Evaluate issues identified by production to drawing requirements and/or standards.
· Coordinate all communication between rework requirements with Sourcing, Planning, Production and Suppliers
· Control all documentation needed to recover expense related to non-conforming material charges related to supplier issues.
· Designs Equip Components, Assemblies, and units using Pro-E Wildfire.
· Understand and use geometric tolerancing (GD&T) and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
· Create and manage appropriate engineering documentation in the data management system.
· Work with Lab Techs to prove new concepts and processes

Requirements:
· High School Diploma (Some college or College/Technical degree a plus)
· Proficiency in system/process improvement tools a plus (six Sigma, 8D, etc)
· Must be able to interpret drawings, specifications and test requirements
· Effective problem solving skills
· Good written and oral communication skills, ability to communicate both with internal customers as well as suppliers
· Must posses the ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
· Must be able to use a variety of measuring tools
· Excellent technical/mechanical skills
· Design experience using a 3-D CAD system.
· Experience in component design, development, and manufacturing.
· Experience with small internal combustion engines preferred.
· Has acquired and can apply knowledge of manufacturing processes, including processes such as sheet metal bending, welding, molding and stamping.
· Must posses good computer skills (excel, word, access)
· Must be able to lead and supervise other hourly personnel
