Millwright and Industrial Electrician
Alcoa Intalco Works is accepting applications for the following full-time skilled craft positions. Base hourly wage is $21.36/hour. A competitive benefits package, including 401(k) plan and performance pay plan, is included.
Requirements: Successful completion of a Journey-level Program or 2-years vocational training or equivalent; available to work shift work, including rotating 12-hour shifts; ability to perform physical/mental job functions including but not limited to: lifting up to 50 lbs., working indoors/outdoors in high or confined spaces, climbing, and constant mental alertness while working in hazardous conditions such as high temperatures, dust, loud noise, hot metal and electricity.
The selection process includes a drug screen, written test (including math), personal interview, and post-offer physical exam.
Millwright
(Industrial Mechanic)
Perform skilled millwright or maintenance mechanic work in connection with the layout, installation, dismantling, erection and rigging on all types of machinery, equipment and building structural components. Repair, adjust and maintain standard and special machinery and mechanical equipment of a complex nature. Requires extreme accuracy in aligning, balancing, and fitting through use of precision instruments.
Industrial Electrician
Performs the layout, installation, testing and maintenance of all electrical and electronic, process control, instrumentation, communication equipment in an aluminum production heavy industrial environment. Designs and writes programs for computerized systems. Performs diversified skilled work involving revision and installation of pneumatic, photonic, electronic and electrical circuits and equipment. Diagnoses and repairs any malfunctioning electrical, control, communication and electronic systems, including but not limited to, switchboards, motors, heaters, generators, starters, switches, welders, signals, cutouts, rheostats, furnace controls, conveyors, variable speed motors, programmable logic controllers, computers, computer equipment, recorders, meters, transmitters, radios, and other control devices. Maintains ISO 9000 calibration standards for all plant critical instruments and any appropriate record keeping. Responds in a timely manner under all weather conditions to ensure proper plant operations. Operates mobile and fixed equipment necessary to complete job task assigned.
