Industrial Maintenance Technician Brief Job Summary:
Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, and electrical systems by performing the essential job functions.

Essential Job Functions: Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
Installs, programs, or repairs automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.
Performs Preventative Maintenance
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS



Industrial Maintenance Technician Essential Knowledge and Skill Requirements:1 year Certificate from College or Technical school; or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Must be able to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Must interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
Ability to deal with problems involving multiple variables simultaneously.
Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee can be exposed to wet or humid conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Employee may occasionally be required to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance of other employees.

Work Schedule:
Work Monday thru Friday, evening hours.
