General Maintenance Tech - rotating on all shifts

1.Provide maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, drywall hanging and finishing, framing (metal & wood), electrical.
2.Retrieve work requests from computer-based work order system and complete all work orders in timely manner. Effectively communicate via the work order system and facility tickets to all end users.
3.Serve as a general security presence and visible deterrent to crime and rule infractions. Provide protection of life and property and safety to patients, general public, and employees.
4.Ensure lock down procedures of facility are completed according to protocol.
5.Ensure unlocking/opening procedures are completed according to protocol.
6.Watchful for suspicious activities, criminal acts, or rule infractions at or near given post which may be a threat to the facility, patients, visitors, or employees at the site.
7.Patrol MCC main campus and financial services building campus with random walking patrols or vehicle patrols.
8.Report all incidents, accidents or medical emergencies to the Facility Director along with incident report.
9.Provide controlled access to the various buildings.
10.Respond immediately to emergencies, such as medical and bomb threats, and to alarms, such as fire and intrusion.
11.Report unsafe acts and environmental conditions to the Facility Director.
12.Be prepared with minimal notice to secure MCC properties in the event of inclement weather and/or unpredictable crisis situations.
13.Consistently practice good safety techniques to accomplish all tasks which includes the use of proper personal safety equipment (safety eye wear, ear plugs, and safety garments). Consistently follow procedures and safety measures specific to area of maintenance specialty.
REQUIREMENTS

3.Ability to work with staff members at all levels of the organization in a cooperative, team-oriented manner.
4.Minimum education requirement is high school diploma or GED.
5.Must have valid driver’s license to operate all MCC vehicles included rented equipment.
6.Must be PC literate in windows environment.
7.Must be able to use a variety of building maintenance tools, including hand tools and electrical tools.
8.Must be able to work outside, regardless of weather conditions.
9.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a periodic basis throughout an 8 hour work day.
10.Ability to work all shifts to include holidays and weekends, and change shifts as necessary with minimal notice.
11.Ability to ambulate as necessary throughout an eleven story building and multi-building campus.
