General Helper - Production

This position, located at Portland Steel Works, a division of Oregon Steel Mill, is responsible for recording, storing, processing and loading of coils as well as banding and tagging of coils prior to distribution in the Coil Yard. Will assist the Lift Truck Operator with organizing the coils and assist in loading the coils onto the carrier. Will process material that has been returned from customer.
REQUIREMENTS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers. Ability to organize and prioritize work. Ability to work independently. Ability to meet deadlines. Ability to learn, retain, and apply new knowledge. Ability to work in environment subject to fluctuations in heat, humidity, fumes, odors, dust and noise. Ability to operate/learn to operate heavy equipment. Must be able to pass background and drug screen, be physically fit and have reliable transportation.
