DELIVERY DRIVER/WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

* Plan and direct the day-to-day operations of a baseball/softball specialty retail store
* Sell goods and attend to customers on the sales floor.
* Lead and direct the retail sales staff
* Initially relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Once established in position, offer suggested areas of improving efficiency and increase in inventory turns.
* Monitor inventory levels
* Develop strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales and increase profitability
* Ensure customer needs are met, complaints resolved and service is quick and efficient
* Ensure all products and displays are merchandised effectively to maximize sales and profitability
* Synchronize operating needs with marketing image
* Forecast staffing needs and develop a recruiting strategy to provide optimal staffing in all areas
* Manage employees involved in the return process
* Schedule retail employees
* Recruit, interview and assist in hiring retail sales associates
* Assist in creation of Retail Sales Associate Evaluation
* Perform Employee Evaluations
* Responsible for bi-monthly training meetings directed to new retail employees and retraining current employees in the following areas:

~the returns process with customers and employees and
~customer service training
~pricing information
~loss prevention

*Monitor Competition: Live and Web

~Monthly Report
~Develop list of questions
~What's new?
~Price comparisons
~Capabilities of competition
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED WORK SKILLS

Knowledge:
~Merchandising knowledge and skills
~Computer literacy

Capabilities/Motivation:
~Accurate keyboard skills and experience with various office equipment/machines. Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
~Excellent communication and customer service skills
~Ability to drive sales in a fast-paced, customer service focused environment

EXPERIENCE

A minimum of 2 to 4 years sales and supervisory experience in a retail environment.
