Job Summary: Bell Helicopter is seeking Electrical Assemblers for the Amarillo Military Aircraft Assembly Center.
Responsibilities: The Electrical Assembler performs a wide variety of difficult and diversified bench and on-aircraft operations which may include (1) routing and clamping, assembling and wiring of switch boxes, fuse boxes, and instrument panels; (2) installing instruments and wires; (3) bonding and shielding various points to facilitate efficient operation; (4) soldering and assembling wires to plugs; and (5) laying out units for assembly and developing methods for instrument board cables and switch box wiring. As assigned, the employee (1) performs rework, repairs or salvage; (2) swages cables and solders ferrules to flexible conduits; (3) fits, files, drills, and assembles junction boxes, panels, etc.; and (4) performs a wide variety of diversified and difficult electrical assembly installations on all sections of the aircraft. Shift work may be required.
Position Requirements: Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, three or more years of Aircraft Electrical experience and a working knowledge of Composite Materials desired. Must be able to read and interpret aircraft blueprints.A Textron Company
