CommutAir is hiring for an Aircraft Maintenance Technician. This Aircraft Maintenance Technician position is in Commutair's new maintenance location in Cleveland, OH.

CommutAir is a privately-owned New York corporation engaged in scheduled passenger air transportation in the Northeast and upper Midwest regions of the U.S. CommutAir’s primary mission is to provide safe and reliable service from smaller cities under contract. The Company offers local service as well as connections to longer-haul flights. CommutAir operates a fleet of Turbo-prop Regional Aircraft and flies to 24 cities in 8 states.
During 2006 the Company will be adding a second, larger, aircraft type to its fleet. The new aircraft will be the Bombardier Q200. The Q200, known as “the Quiet one”, offers passengers the speed and comfort of a jet with the efficiencies of a turbo-prop. Beginning in early 2007 the new fleet will be placed into revenue service at Continental’s CLE hub.
Personnel
CommutAir has approximately 260 employees. Its major functional divisions are are Flight Operations, Aircraft Maintenance, Inspection, Safety, Marketing, Sales, Corporate Finance, Corporate Planning, Training, and Administrative.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications and Requirements:
Airframe and powerplant license
High school diploma or equivalent
Able to read documents, write in English, follow instructions, and learn procedures, good communication skills - verbal, written, radio
Available to work shifts and overtime, and be able to comply with attendance requirements
Dedication to quality service in a team environment and work under tight time constraints
Able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb, bend, kneel, crawl and stoop frequently in confined spaces
Good driving record and ability to drive tugs, trucks, and hangar equipment; and ability to taxi aircraft; alert to moving vehicles and aircraft
Must have tools required to perform routine aircraft maintenance
Current, valid, unrestricted driver's license and excellent driving record
Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
Must complete a ten year background check
