RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works proactively with the Business Unit to develop business solutions that meet the needs of the customer. Provides the link between technical and business views by ensuring that any technical solutions being developed will satisfy the needs of the business users. Provides project management for all solutions being developed for the Business Unit. Reports project status to business users and manager. Analyzes Business Unit processes using approved analytical skills to help develop best practices as well as designing future improvements to systems. Possess strong technical skills to be able to coordinate with Infrastructure on system administration. Has the ability to train and assist Support Services and business users on business solution as well as existing and new technologies. Ability to manage multiple technical projects that ensures on-time delivery and keeps with in budget.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


• Analyze, Identify, and Document through either Change Requests or New Project forms specifications for solution development and / or software enhancement.


• Manage and Document all aspects of project management of business solution, application development and / or software enhancement.


• Assist with documentation for testing, implementation and support for business solution, application and / or software enhancement.


• Assist Planning with installation planning for hardware or application program requirements.


• Coordinate with Configuration Management the corresponding system software changes.


• Performs necessary investigation, analysis and evaluation to determine project feasibility.


• Utilizes analytics such as Six Sigma to assist organization in achieving goals of reducing costs, improving efficiencies and increasing revenues.


• Plans the full range of programming actions needed to achieve desired end-results on complex problems.


• Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) by learning the business user functions, organization and role in the enterprise as well as industry best practices.


• Work with the assigned department on business integrations.


• Process new software releases and / or patches and documentation for Configuration Management, Infrastructure and Support Services.


• Perform regular application, systems and data administration tasks, monitor results and resolve discrepancies in applications program.


• Train and / or assist training staff as needed.


• Mentor TBA I’s and II’s on proper project management techniques in order to be successful.


• Educate TBA I’s and II’s on how to use analytics to help identify problems and target solutions.


• Other duties dependant on department needs.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:


• Experience with application and database interfacing including transactional database applications.


• Knowledge of Oracle and SQL databases and experience with server client applications.


• Proven ability to lead a team of individuals to the successful completion of a complex project.


• Proven track record of accurately estimating labor requirements and completion time.

• Willing to occasionally work over 40 hours a week or on weekends and evenings.

• Ability to learn new technologies and transfer that knowledge to other team members.

• Ability to support IT objectives within the business environment.

• Ability to analyze business processes and provide guidance in selecting technological solution.

• Ability to work in a team environment to achieve a collective goal

WORK CONDITIONS:

Equipment - Standard office equipment including PC, copier, fax and printer

Work Environment- General office environment adequately heated and cooled. May require additional hours including occasional weekends and holidays.

Physical Effort – Generally not required
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years of experience in Project Management including formalized SDLC.

• Ability to demonstrate analytical skills typically found in Six Sigma Methodology.

• 3+ years of experience in Information Technology related field.

• Ability to demonstrate management skills typically found in project management methodologies.

• Degree in Business or Computer science or equivalent work experience required.

• 3+ years Airline experience as well as specific knowledge of business area of responsibility required.
