Strategic Account Executive

This is a senior level executive responsible for developing and building long-term customer relationships with mid-size and large companies within a defined territory. The Strategic Account Executive (SAE) is responsible for developing and implementing a sales strategy to continue and expand multi-year agreements that will drive additional products and services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Account Management: Responsible for all aspects of Account Management of existing and/or new client base to include: strategic account planning, proactive account management, oversight of account set up and implementation and support to national sales team in selling and closing large national accounts.Relationship Management: Responsible for identifying the key contacts and decision makers within the account’s organization for the purpose of developing favorable business relationships and growing the company’s revenues with the account while delivering best-of-class customer satisfaction. Resolves customer concerns and issues in a timely manner to the satisfaction of the customer and the company.Account Liaison: Responsible for developing strategy of the account’s business requirements and recommending a participation strategy for the company, globally. This may require the incumbent to develop the business case that projects the outcome of the company’s participation. The incumbent is expected to identify and lead the internal resources needed to achieve the desired result for approved internal development projects.Account Maintenance: Responsible for the establishment of the appropriate business metrics for the account and the development of an approach that enables the company to project, forecast and track the account’s business. Responsible for developing an account renewal strategy. Also accountable for project managing opportunities for additional service, equipment, and special projects with internal personnel.Promotional and Product Strategies: Responsible for growing the company’s sales of existing products and services with the account in a manner that grows the company’s profitability. This includes identifying and promoting product and service upgrades that improve the company’s profit stream with the account.Price Management: Responsible for recommending the company’s pricing strategy with the account. The recommendation should be based on the SAE’s understanding of the competitive pressures encountered with the account, while still leading to bottom line optimization.Presentations and Reporting: Responsible for presentations to key decision makers and conducting Business Reviews on a quarterly basis for assigned accounts.
REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelors degree preferred and 2-5 years relevant national account sales experienceAbility to deal with customers where tact may be required to maintain continuing harmonious relationships. Computer fluent, with specific attention to e-mail and Microsoft Office product skills.Positive, energetic personalitySome level of technology fluency to understand and properly communicate the technology associated with assigned products.Proven reasoning abilities and sound judgment.Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.Able to express commitment to JT Packard, its customers, and its employees.Process oriented, with demonstrated attention to details. Delivering on time results to support JT Packard’s business goals.Teamwork oriented with collaborative style.
