Auxiliary Services Corporation has provided dining services, college store services, vending, coping and parking services to the SUNY Cortland campus for over 50 years. ASC employs 200 full time staff and 200 part time student employees. Cortland, NY is located in rural upstate New York; 30 miles from Syracuse University and Cornell University.

The Director of the College Store of Auxiliary Services Corporation is responsible for the management of retail operations serving 7,000 students and generating annually $4 million in sales. The retail merchandise includes textbooks, gifts, insignia clothing, electronics and school supplies. This position supervises an Operations Manager and Book Department Manager.

Applicants must be able to;
Effectively negotiate with vendors
Maintain proper inventory levels
Adhere to annual budget goals
Be familiar with a variety of inventory and point-of-sale systems

We are looking for a candidate with strengths in the following areas:

interpersonal communication, hands-on leadership, customer service, team-based management, and retail marketing. REQUIREMENTS


Job Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field and 5 years of retail management or book sales experience or two year degree and eight years of retail management level experience is required.
