Sr. Buyer Planner

Nissan Forklift Corporation, Marengo,IL, is seeking a Sr. Buyer Planner.The Sr. Buyer Planner is responsible for meeting internal and external customer expectations through managing assigned supply base. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assists in the development of inventory objectives and order points. Drives assigned supply base to achieve appropriate quality, delivery, cost and inventory performance levels.Reviews requirements and releases orders for purchase of goods. Identifies slow moving and obsolete inventories.Expedites, defers, and replans deliveries as necessary to prevent back orders or excess. Visits suppliers and conducts evaluations to appraise supplier’s manufacturing abilities to support Nissan Forklift Corporation key measures.Participates in cross functional supplier improvement activities Issues and audits corrective actions.Prepares monthly performance reports for management.Nissan Forklift is a global supplier of superior material handling equipment. REQUIREMENTS



Sr. Buyer Planner Requirements:Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory management and/or purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
Bachelors Degree in business or related field preferred.CPIM certification a plus. MRP experience.Knowledge and understanding of purchasing practices, supply chain, management practices, bills of material, blueprint reading, and production scheduling. Proficient user of Excel, with user level experience in Access. Demonstrated ability to work with both suppliers and internal departments.
