Service Advocate

Vanguard, one of the world's largest investment management companies, seeks a financial professional with experience in the Institutional or Defined Contribution field to provide comprehensive business solutions to clients within those lines of business. Working with internal and external teams, you will help to define strategies for each business client, integrate marketing and systems needs into the plan, and support technology improvement efforts.

Acting as subject matter expert on service, you'll support all internal and external service capability inquiries, and consult with clients to implement solutions. You'll work with the Service Manager to introduce short- and long-range strategies based on regular review of ''voice of client'' data, industry group reports, legal/compliance advice, and internal productivity measures. You'll help to secure sponsorship from internal and external business groups to build and maintain service strategies. You'll also demonstrate sound judgment by elevating problems that could impact service to the manager.

You'll promote technology initiatives designed to introduce service enhancements, assist with project rules and requirements based on current and potential business needs, and support the rollout of training and new business workflows. You'll monitor areas of service risk and close gaps via technology enhancements and/or educating affected parties.

In partnership with the sales staff, you'll assist in developing communications and marketing initiatives that position the service. You'll maintain an ongoing communication and training plan, which includes a service prototype, efficiency models, client benefits and feedback, developments in progress, and internal dashboard measures. You'll participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS


-Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
-Minimum of three years of business experience, with at least one year of related work experience involving Institutional clients.
-Defined Contribution experience preferred.
-Familiarity with qualified plan regulations and knowledge of Vanguard's VAST, VISTA and VISION systems preferred.
-Strong project management and presentation skills; knowledge of project-management methodologies preferred.
-Proven client service, negotiation, and client-management skills.
-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Strong written communication skills.
-Ability to understand and communicate technical and non-technical information to various levels of management within internal and external organizations.
-Ability to manage multiple priorities.
