Senior IT Analyst, Business Analysis - IT Individual

Symetra is looking for a Sr. IT Business Analyst with strong technical and analytical skills. This individual will: Have extensive experience with the full System Development Lifecycle to guide projects and gather business requirements using strong interviewing skills. Provide leadership within their IT team and with business partners (including leading smaller projects without a project manager). Create detailed test plans and use cases, and work with programmers, quality assurance analysts, and business partners to thoroughly test changes. Work with developers, DBA's, vendors and other technical resources within the IT environment, as well as with business partners across the company. REQUIREMENTS
Integrity, accountability, and initiative are imperative. Experience with the System Development Lifecycle and the documentation that compliments it. Experience with tools that provide project leadership from start to finish. Experience with multiple platforms including mainframe, client/server and web. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong questioning and listening skills, ability to look beyond obvious answers and understand the impact on other areas, and ability to comfortably speak in a public setting. Proven ability to initiate change within an IT organization, and utilize best practices to improve processes and results. Financial Services or Life Insurance knowledge is preferred.
