Senior Business Systems Analyst – Health Care Group of Arizona

Under general supervision of the Assistant Director for Shared Services at Healthcare Group of Arizona, this position plans and develops user requirement documents, performs process mapping, system analysis, data mapping and business process re-engineering analysis on healthcare system projects. Position also provides technical support of users including application testing, project planning and budgeting, design, configuration, installation oversight, performance analysis, staff training, operations trouble shooting and application development oversight for Healthcare Group of Arizona. May recommend system purchases and develop request for proposals requirement documents.

Avidity HCS, Inc. is the contracted Third Party Administrator for Healthcare Group of Arizona. This position will work very closely with Healthcare Group of Arizona and therefore may be screened, interviewed and hired in conjunction with Healthcare Group of Arizona and AHCCCS.

As assigned by the Assistant Director of HCG, develops user requirement documents on various healthcare system projects.
Analyzes and maps business processes determines system requirements and user needs, plans, recommends improvements, oversees the design and development of IT systems projects.
Investigates, plans, and work with consultant on feasibility studies, including budget requirements of proposed system projects.
Prepares documentation of system and user requirement documents including Voice over Internet Protocol telecommunication configurations, VIP. CTI and health plan call center customer relationship software applications.
Configures system software as needed to meet user needs.
Provides staff training and training manuals.
Configures system performance reports for management.
May be assigned to manage project teams.
Provides recommendations on system modifications, upgrades and change requests.
Oversees application developers and tests new applications to determine if they are production ready based on user requirements.
May develop RFPs and participates in vendor bidding processes and monitors vendor performance.
Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
Required
Bachelor Degree in healthcare or computer systems with at least 3 years of experience that directly relates to duties and responsibilities.
Practical experience or certification in project management and/or business system analysis.
Healthcare IT system analysis experience desirable.
Must be responsible and be able to work without close supervision.
