Currently, Walgreens is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst/Programmer within our corporate facility in Deerfield, IL (Chicago).

A Senior Business Analyst/Programmer within our Corporate Systems development team will interview business owners, conceptualize and recommend specific solutions for new applications as well as enhancements to existing applications, and continue to drive delivery of medium to large scale project solutions with the end result in mind. Cross team interaction is required. While leading specific project initiatives, this person will be responsible for guiding and reviewing the work of other team members as required under the overall direction of a Team Lead.


Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include full project life-cycle tasks with a focus on gathering and understanding business requirements and assisting with business process re-engineering. Includes functional analysis, technical analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation. Includes custom development, package customization and integration with other corporate systems.

Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree preferred. The ideal candidate must have 5+ years of IT Development experience. Exposure to Tax and Accounting applications a plus. Experience in web application development using Oracle and Java/Websphere required. Business experience, team environment and excellent communication skills a must.
