Reporting Analyst I- Business Intelligence

A reporting analyst designs, implements and evaluates reporting mechanisms to bring clarity to Grainger business operations.
Works with Team Leader to support business improvement initiatives and/or system development efforts.
* Identifies and prioritizes current and future information needs.
* Designs, implements and evaluates system reports and other information solutions that support enterprise wide operations and key metrics.
* Researches and recommends process improvement opportunities.
* Strives to acquire expert level knowledge of industry available tools for information and reporting design (eg., Cognos, ReportNet, PowerPlay, Metrics Manager and any others that may be deployed).

Technical: Has Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience plus 2 + years related experience. Working knowledge of business processes and SAP system.Strong information analysis and problem solving abilityBasic statistical analysis training; Broad exposure to business metrics.
Non-Technical: Communications are grammatically correct and error-free; actively listens.High attention to detail and strong organization skills.

Pursues gaining statistical and analytical experience. Seeks other help to resolve technical and business issues.
General supervision; work sometimes reviewed by senior team member or manager based on complexity or impact.
Ability to work under strict deadlines, as well as multi task and prioritize multiple projects.
