Quality Assurance Lead - Contractor

GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR THE RIGHT PERSON!!!Norwegian Cruise Line, one of the fastest growing cruise lines in the travel industry today, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Assurance Lead to join our Miami based Revenue Planning Systems team to fill a contractor position.
BASIC PURPOSEThe person in this position will be the quality assurance lead during implementation of a revenue management system. This person will be responsible for leading test plan, identifying test strategies, preparing test cases, training testers, testing, and maintaining QA standards and processes during the implementation.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES•Develop, manage, lead, and execute QA test plan for vendor-developed cruise revenue management system.
•Train, manage, and lead the testing effort using business testers.
•Conduct unit, integration, system, full regression, and user acceptance testing using business testers.
•Identify testing strategies and testable areas.
•Create, review, maintain, and execute manual test cases.
•Act as a liaison between IT, vendors, and other business areas for effective and timely QA.
•Manage defects/change requests tracking process during testing process.
•Analyze defects/change requests for inclusion of sufficient documentation for development.
•Maintain QA documentation of new procedures.
•Adhere to NCL quality assurance standards and procedures.•Administer the revenue management system.
•Report to the Manager, Revenue Planning Systems.
REQUIREMENTS
The position requires QA experience as a lead, good analytical abilities, a thorough knowledge of SQL, and excellent communication skills. Knowledge of cruise reservation and/or revenue management systems is a plus.Education:
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
•Minimum five years of experience in technical QA of software development.
•Minimum two years of lead experience in technical QA of software development.
•Minimum three years of QA experience in creating, reviewing, maintaining, and executing manual test cases.
•Minimum three years of QA experience spanning unit, integration, system, full regression, and user acceptance testing.
•Minimum two years of QA experience in monitoring applications, troubleshooting, and documentation.
•Preferred QA experience on cruise revenue management and/or reservations systems.Knowledge & Skills:
•Strong PC skills.
•Strong knowledge of QA standards and processes.
•Proficiency in using TOAD and SQL.
•Preferred knowledge of using Starteam.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
