Ensure that estimates are compliant with current corporate policy and government regulations including the Truth in Negotiations Act. Utilize estimates developed from performance history, internal standards, parametrics, supplier quotes and the use of improvement curve applications. Present and support estimates through management reviews, customer negotiations and government and corporate audits. Assigned duties include frequent oral presentations to executive management in large decision making forums. Sound technical writing skills and effective interpersonal communication abilities are required. Skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint are mandatory.General Position Description:Develops, plans and schedules proposals. Compiles cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications. Coordinates the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements from functional departments. Researches and analyzes historical data, develops cost models to support proposal efforts. Coordinates activities and participates in fact-finding meetings. Participates in should-cost and pricing reviews with management and customer representatives.
