Project Engineer 4 - Hazelwood, MO

Position Summary: Perform engineering and project engineering in conjunction with St. Louis FUSRAP North County Remedial Action. Interact with Shaw & Client (USACE) personnel, develop designs based on existing characterization data and information. Identify data gaps, direct/coordinate preparation/review/publication of Remedial Action Work Descriptions (RAWD). Designs typically involve and/or require knowledge of design for earthwork and grading, utility relocation, geotechnical, regulatory, site construction (backfill, paving, restoration, etc.), and various building construction disciplines to a minor extent. Facilitate/arrange/coordinate all required engineering services to prepare the RAWDs according to project guidelines & requirements. Coordinate and assist in the development and maintenance of engineering budgets, monthly cost/schedule status reporting. Direct/Coordinate engineering during construction efforts including maintenance/modification of RAWDs as required. Direct preparation of a Remedial Action Summary Report for each site remediated.


Requirements:

B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field. Professional engineering registration required; ability to obtain MO registration within 6 - 9 months. Experience with remedial design involving excavation, shoring, underground utility management required. 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPPER Training required, including all necessary 8-hour Refreshers. Radiological Worker Training and/or experience with remediation of sites with radiologically contaminated soil desired. The position requires excellent written and oral communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.

Normal office environment with occasional field reconnaissance, inspection, observation, etc.
