Program Mgmt. Director - DTC/Wholesale Channel

Position provides overall management of the implementation and maintenance for Directo to Consumer and Wholesale products & strategies. This includes but is not limited to FFELP Consolidation, Private Loan Consolidation, Non-Certified Loan, Cross Sell & Retention Initiatives and our Private Label Product.



Responsibilities include:

- Working with Product Management Director and Director of Strategy and Business Development to understand the business objectives/requirements for Direct to Consumer/Wholesale products and manage these implementations through Technology, Operations, BP&A, Legal and External Relations

- Provide sponsor role on project teams to ensure the system requirements and design meets the product specifications. Ensure adherence to legal regulations and corporate guidelines.

- Manage the implementation of new marketing programs to support DTC/Retention Initiatives, including implementation of MIS and controls.

- Responsible for ensuring technical implementations at external vendors meeting product/marketing specifications.

- Using analysis, system, product and processing expertise, provide recommendations to increase program performance and profitability.

- Provide consultative support to business areas on DTC/Wholesale products/functions to resolve critical customer issues using product & system expertise to guide teams in making the best decision for the business and customers. REQUIREMENTS


Bachelor's Degree and experience: 5 to 10 years in financial services

Strong Analytical/Problem Solving skills

3-5 years of SLC Student Loan experience

Cross functional project management experience

Proven ability to translate business objectives to business requirements

Ability to manage multiple priorities

Ability to direct teams in bringing issues to closure

Ability to grasp complex concepts

Experience with understanding/implementing with legal/regulatory changes as they relate to required changes in program functions

Strong organizational/written and oral communication skills

Good negotiation skills
