Prepared Foods Team Member

Department: Prepared FoodsJob Summary:
Maintain a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly and efficient customer service. Perform all functions relating to processing (preparation) and merchandising in the prepared foods department.Will do the following principle duties and responsibilities:
1. Successfully complete Prepared Foods learning checklists.
2. Arrive to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; work all scheduled shifts and attend required trainings and meetings.
3. Provide excellent customer service and regularly practice and model suggestive selling techniques.
4. Maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, and stocking product.
5. Practice courteous and proper etiquette when answering phones and pages.
6. Give timely customer feedback to Team Leader and Associate Team Leader.
7. Comply with all applicable state health and safety codes.
8. Maintain clean and sanitary operating environment.
9. Complete spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
10. Assist in training of new Team Members, utilizing learning checklists and training materials.
11. Support national, regional and store programs.
12. Perform other duties as assigned by Team Leader, Associate Team Leader, Supervisor, Buyer, Store Leadership and Prepared Foods Coordinator(s).
REQUIREMENTS
1. Knowledge of prepared foods products and purchasing is preferred.
2. Ability to sell proactively and communicate effectively with customers.
3. Ability to perform physical requirements of position.
4. Excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
5. Ability to operate all necessary equipment.
6. Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as required.Physical working conditions:
1. Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
2. In an 8 hour work day: standing/walking 6-8 hours.
3. Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
4. Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
5. Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
6. Exposure to temperatures: <32 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing), 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators), >90 degrees Fahrenheit.
