PROJECT MANAGER
Anne Arundel Community College, Office of Capital Development, is currently seeking a qualified candidate to provide professional project management and leadership on multiple small and medium sized higher education academic projects and to direct design professionals and administer contracts necessary to meet project goals. This is a contract position.
Functions of this position include, but are not limited to:
·Manage the planning, design and execution of higher education capital projects by providing project leadership, communication, coordination & conflict resolution to ensure project goals are met.
·Manage project from initiation through completion of design.
·Manage and be responsible for project budget, schedule, and procurement of design and construction services.
·Facilitate timely decisions with campus representatives to report progress and issues impacting the project goals to stakeholders.
·Ensure design and construction documents comply with project requirements.
·Facilitate timely review of contract docs by consultants at schematic design, design development & construction document phases of work.
·Review design and construction contracts, changes, technical service contracts, GMP submittals, bid documents, pay applications, etc.
·Facilitate Anne Arundel Community College’s approvals as required.
·Primary project liaison with campus, facility user groups, operations and administration during design and contract administration to ensure timely input, manage expectations, resolve conflicts and facilitate decisions.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field with a minimum of three years project management experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Prefer five or more years of project management experience. Prefer degree in Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture.
Working Conditions: Exposure to: all weather conditions, extreme temperatures, standard office conditions, electrical and mechanical hazards. Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation. Use of manual dexterity. Climbing of stairs. Climbing of ladders. Lifting and moving.
