Manager Network Ops - Construction --MT0009
**Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
**US Citizenship requiredResponsibilities:This individual will be responsible for:Lead the Construction activities of over 100+ Inside Plant/Outside Plant Construction Projects at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
Manage a team of 55 + Construction Contractors that are subcontractors to Qwest and perform the construction of Inside Plant/Outside Plant projects.
Manage and create Integrated Work Documents required for the performance of construction work at LANL. The average number of open construction projects totals over 100 construction jobs.
Manage and track work schedules, percent of work completion of projects, and project costs. Manage and track a Qwest construction budget that exceeds $7 Million annually.
Facilitate and communicate status of projects to the Qwest and LANL Design Engineers.
Educate and communicate to the Construction Contractors the Qwest and LANL Safety Policies and Standards in the performance of construction work.
Measure and track project budget versus actuals in the delivery of construction projects.
Qualifications:10 year minimum experience in Inside Plant/Outside Plant telecommunications construction is preferred. Previous supervisor skills and experience is required.
Demonstrate knowledge and strong analytical skills required to perform above duties.
Strong Outside plant and Inside Plant knowledge is required.
Demonstrate ability to operate a computerized infrastructure management system.
Strong people skills and team focus is required.
Strong Customer Service skills is a requirement.
