Business Unit: GE Infrastructure, EnergyFunction: OperationsResponsibilities: * This position is responsible for the operations, maintenance, and repair of wind turbine generators at the Sky River / Victory Gardens project located in Tehachapi California.
Ability to troubleshoot complicated mechanical and electrical problems on variable pitch wind turbines.
Assists in all areas of site operations as directed by manager.
Performs all mechanical and electrical component maintenance, repair, and or replacement of parts to correct malfunctions.
The successful applicants will also participate in an on call schedule.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: * One year certificate from a college or technical school; 6+ months related experience; or combination of education and experience.
Must have or be able to obtain a valid California driver's license.
Acceptable driving record.
Ability to climb towers up to 240' on a daily basis.
Competitive score on mechanical and technical aptitude tests.Desired: * Wind Turbine experience.
Knowledge of electricity, and electrical test equipment.
Knowledge of servo systems.
Career orientated mindset.
Safety conscious.General: * This hourly position is located in Tehachapi, California. The successful applicant would be working on the Sky River / Victory Garden projects.
No relocation will be provided.
