THE OPPORTUNITY
As Loss Mitigatation Specialist, you’ll be responsible for assisting homeowners that have the commitment and capacity to remain in the house by structuring frequency deals and assisting homeowners who lack the necessary capacity or desire to retain ownership, with property disposition. Loss mitigation specialists are responsible for ensuring the performance of a specific and assigned portfolio of assets

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Executing all strategies to minimize loss severity and frequency on an assigned mortgage portfolio.
Analysis of loan history, asset attributes, and customer contact to determine whether referral for foreclosure is appropriate
Reception of disposition referrals and subsequent analysis to determine that all alternatives to allow ownership retention have been exhausted
Negotiation and execution of short sales and deeds in lieu of foreclosure
Decision to charge-off assets
Foreclosure bid decisions for assets taken to foreclosure sale
Managing the relationship with PIA by customizing outbound contact campaigns that are tailored to the specific needs of the investor.
Audit specific list of loans giving feedback and analysis to investor

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
2 years of mortgage servicing experience
6+ months of collections experience on loans in foreclosure
Strong analytical skills
Ability to think strategically
Capable of formulating tactics based on overall strategy
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to partner across the organization
Excellent communication skills, both written and orally
Asset management and customer service focused
PC skills - Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge and experience
Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) preferred
Some travel required. Evenings, weekends, and overtime may be needed
