Liability Claims Adjuster
Liability Claims AdjusterJob Duties and Responsibilities:Insurance Claims Adjusters embody the trust every customer places in GEICO! As a claims adjuster, we will teach you how to handle a variety of claims ranging from minor fender-benders to the damage caused by major accidents, hurricanes, floods and other disasters. Newly hired associates receive industry-leading training and learn the basic concepts of insurance from the policy contract to negotiation skills. Adjusting claims over the phone is one of the unique aspects of the GEICO operation. As a claim representative you’ll learn to ask the proper questions and listen attentively to make a fair and proper settlement decision. It is the claim representative's job to decide if, to whom, and how much is paid in claims. Sometimes that means reconstructing the facts of an accident, making arrangements for repair of damage, investigating the nature and extent of injuries, and determining who is at fault. A successful claims associate can move rather quickly through various ascending levels of claims into positions of significant responsibility.Start date: 11/13/06
Pay: $35,000
Pay: $38,500 for fluent Spanish speaking candidates
Hrs: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
