Information Systems Business Analyst
Department: Information TechnologyJob Summary:
Whole Foods Market has an exciting opportunity available on the Information Technology Team based in the vibrant city of Chicago, IL. We are looking for an individual with a business analysis and software project background who can help design and implement high quality, innovative, and integrative regional business systems. The ideal person will have a background in business systems analysis and a desire to be part of a collaborative team. Job tasks include, but are not limitedWill do the following principle duties and responsibilities:
Documenting business processes and identifying opportunities for business process redesign.
Gathering & documenting functional requirements.
Comparing requirements to existing system functionality and preparing a gap analysis.
Working with users to develop test scripts & scenarios; testing applications, and supporting users during user acceptance testing.
Preparing training materials and conducting user training for projects.
Preparing project plans and managing progress against the plan for smaller projects.
Communicating project status and issues to a variety of audiences using various media.
Establishing effective working relationships with peers and business partners.
Managing multiple assignments simultaneously.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
3 - 5 years of experience in business analysis with at least 2 years working on IT projects.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in business process design and driving business process change.
Proven ability to clearly and accurately document functional requirements.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience with accounting, purchasing, inventory, product management, and end user reporting functions and applications.
Experience with systems development methodologies and a variety of documentation techniques, including business process charts, flowcharts, data flow diagrams, decision tables, use cases, entity relationship diagrams, test scenarios, test cases, test logs, & issue logs.
Experience with Microsoft Office and Visio; experience with MS-Project a plus.
Ability to effectively communicate status, issues, progress, and results to a wide audience.
Proven ability to begin and end projects on schedule.
Effective time-management skills and the ability to work without direct supervision when necessary.
Ability to multi task and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
Ability to travel at times, including driving.
Patience, understanding, flexibility, and a sense of humor.
Excellent customer service skills.
A desire to be part of a high-performance and collaborative team.
