IT Business/Systems Analyst

Purpose: Our client is currently looking for a senior-level IT Business/Systems Analyst. The client is a fortune 500 organization located in the Pittsburgh area.

Duties:
The position will perform various work requirements normally considered a Business Analyst or Business Consultant role with special emphasis on implementation of vendor business information systems. The candidate must be able to interface with business and technical employees at various levels of the organization. The individual will be working in a very dynamic team oriented environment with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.

Major Activities
The expectation is for the candidate to perform:
-Major emphasis in supporting server based tools implemented to support the business
-Business & technical internal and external research
-Business systems requirements gathering
-Data mining and data mapping to business requirements
-Development of project plans, status presentations, end use support tools
-Development of standardized business reporting using a vendor reporting tool

Location: The person will be working at our Pittsburgh, PA facility.

Skill Requirements
-Minimum BS or BA in Business Administration or Information Systems
-0-3 years experience working in a major business performing business analysis and/or working in Information Systems

-Working proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Powerpoint/Word/Excel/Access)
-3-6 months experience in developing Access systems
-3-6 months experience using an end-user focusing adhoc reporting tool
-Knowledge of data base structures with specific knowledge of Oracle
-General working knowledge of vendor server based product implementation
-Working knowledge of Document Management applications and/or Business Process Modeling a major plus
-Excellent verbal and written skills
-Ability to work in a rapidly changing work environment
-Willingness to do ?whatever it takes? to provide excellent customer service
-Ability to work with minimum direction

The expected duration of the project is at least 9 months. There is a good chance the project will get extended into a very long-term project as well.
