Human Resource Specialist, Senior

Critical thinking skills and the ability to build and maintain good working relationships are a must. This position requires a creative, solution-focused, customer-service driven, energetic business professional to provide HR consultation and services to management and staff at Idaho State School & Hospital.The successful candidates will be required to complete a criminal history background investigation. Employment is dependant upon satisfactory results of the investigation.RESPONSIBILITIES:Provides human resource consultation in areas including employee relations, civil rights, recruitment, and performance management.Investigates human resources issues and makes recommendations to management.Investigates HR issues and provides consultation and recommendations in concert with legal counsel and other HR professionals.Develops and conducts training in human resource and staff development areas.Provides consultation on employment laws, rules, policies, and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Working professional knowledge of:Human resource administration to include job analysis and developing classification recommendations.Equal employment opportunity/affirmative action concepts and legal requirements.Experience with:Researching and preparing reports and recommendations.
Conducting in-depth interviews.
Interpreting, applying, and explaining laws and rules.
