Kiddie Kandids is seeking an experienced, self-motivated, high-energy individual to lead our human resources function through an unprecedented period of growth and nationwide expansion. Kiddie Kandids has been America’s favorite children’s portrait studio for more than 30 years. With more than 130 studios nationwide and numerous additional studios being constructed in many different states, we are seeking a Director of Human Resources who is an effective communicator, excellent problem solver and true team player. Duties include:•Direct and motivate a staff of Generalists, HR Managers, and Payroll Specialists in the following fields:oPolicies and procedures.
oDatabase integrity.
oWage & salary management.
oBenefits.
oSafety
oTraining.
oLabor relations.
oPayroll processing.
oCompensation.•Partner with key management personnel to implement strategic improvements to the organization
•Lead special projects in high impact areas
•Clarify and communicate roles, responsibilities and authority for every position in the company, including development of job descriptions, skill sets and qualifications.
•Create and administer performance measurement plans and related compensation levels
•Develop and implement a comprehensive, company-wide communications strategy
•Formulate policies that may vary from state to state.
•Give counsel to management and employees regarding disciplinary actions.
•Oversee requirements in the areas of: FCC/EEOC, EEO, ADA, FMLA, COBRA, OSHA, Wage & Hour, and Workers Compensation.
•Develop and maintain a departmental budget
•Develop and conduct HR related training programs for all employees.Minimum Qualifications:•Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or related discipline with 10+ years HR related experience.•Minimum 5 years of supervisory/management of HR.
•Knowledge of multi state and federal laws regarding Human Resources and Payroll.
•Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
•Ability to work under pressure with deadlines and changing priorities.
•Analytical, decision-making and ability to plan, organize and prioritize effectively.
•Ability to work effectively as member of a team and establish and maintain effective working relationships across multiple functions and job levels.
•Strong facilitation, conflict resolution and investigative skills.Preferred Qualifications:
•2-3 years experience in retail or manufacturing environment.
•Some experience with Safety programs.
