Director-Facility Provider Network

Basic Function:
This position is responsible for directing and coordinating provider recruitment, credentialing, education and servicing activities within the assigned region; negotiating agreements and monitoring reimbursement arrangements; analyzing the networks regularly for provider accessibility and availability, reporting deficiencies; working with Sales/Marketing in accessing the competitive position of the networks as related to the market; and performing major new contracting activities.

Job Requirements:
1) Bachelor’s degree in a business related field PLUS six years health care administration/managed care experience OR ten years work experience in a health care/managed care environment; 2) five years supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership skills; 3) financial background (i.e., accounting, etc.); 4) demonstrated analytical abilities and proficient planning skills; 5) effective negotiation and contracting skills; 6) demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure; 7) effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with all level of corporate personnel and providers; 8) be a team player/people oriented; 9) be able and willing to travel, including overnight stays.

Preferred Job Requirements:
1) knowledge of healthcare systems; 2) have budget experience; 3) project management experience.
