Child’s Voice School, a nationally recognized institution that provides oral deaf education to infants, toddlers, young children and their families, seeks an energetic and accomplished Director of Resource Development and External Affairs to direct the school’s fundraising and communications programs.
Under the general supervision of the Executive Director, the Director of Resource Development and External Affairs will create and implement fundraising programs that aggressively pursue strategies designed to generate gifts from individuals and institutions in support of our annual and capital needs as well as formulate and implement comprehensive programs in support of the School’s communication and marketing goals.Candidates should possess the leadership, communications, and external relations skills necessary to ensure the continued success of a rapidly growing development program.Requirements include a bachelor’s degree (graduate degree preferred), excellent interpersonal communications and team-building skills, and a willingness to recruit and lead a growing staff.The successful candidate will possess five or more years of progressively successful fundraising and management experience in an educational, health care or social service setting that emphasizes a comprehensive approach to development that includes outright individual giving.
