DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS - Medical Imaging Industry
The Director of Operations, Central Region will report to the Vice President, Central Region as a key member of the Central Region Operation’s Leadership Team and will have the opportunity to participate in cross-functional national efforts to drive business excellence. This is an opportunity to take on an operations leadership role of a recognized and exciting industry.
The Director of Operations will have two distinct areas of focus. The first is to lead a segment of the central region’s 17 states; driving operations and teaming with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources and Business Development for overall Central Region performance, direction, analysis, and decision making. The second key accountability is to provide input, leadership and to take action as an active member on critical, specific national operational initiatives. This role requires that roughly 15% of its time be dedicated to these national initiatives.
The strategic imperative for the Central Region is the conversion from an emphasis on mobile imaging services to a focus on building a world class enterprise through fixed site development and customer partnerships. The Director of Operations is the critical driver of this strategic conversion during the next 18 to 24 months. He/she will also facilitate the development and deployment of a suite of innovative products and services.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with the Vice President of Operations, central region to promote and drive strategic change
Recruit and develop new and existing talent
Drive operational execution
Manage customer relationships and provide world class service
Support the VP of Operations, Central to grow the region
Develop and implement appropriate training
Coach the team for success
Oversee approximately 200 team members spanning 4-6 states
Establish performance goals and measures for the team
Provide strong leadership and lead by example
Develop and execute an annual operating plan of $33 million
Develop, implement and operate 3-4 new fixed sites annually
Assist in creating a “world class” template for fixed site development
Work with front-line management to create and maintain superior client relationships and customer service
Work with the VP of Operations, Central to develop a 3 year strategic outlook
Actively participate and take accountability for budgeting and planning
Work with the national management team to set company strategy and direction
REQUIREMENTS
7 to 10+ years of progressively larger operational leadership in companies of similar scale in the healthcare industry

High ability to drive fixed site development either through direct experience or demonstrated knowledge/experience with a similar development process and strategy
Demonstrated experience and success in each of the Mission Critical Objectives
Large team leadership experience – total team size in excess of 200 with 5 or more direct reports; geographically dispersed team member base highly preferred
Demonstrated track record of identifying and developing high impact, high potential leaders
Commitment to training and development efforts as well as coaching and mentoring as a critical leadership approach
Ability to build culture consistent with our mission, values and vision—both in philosophy and in active translation to behavior
Drive executive and customer relationships through fixed site strategy acceleration and operation excellence in all operational agreements
Multi-unit operations in multiple geographies with heavy emphasis on customer service and satisfaction
Utilization of sophisticated operational, financial and people processes and procedures
Demonstrated experience in measurably improving business processes, execution and outcomes
Operational P&L responsibility greater than $20M
Experience with capital equipment operations preferred
Ability to interface and establish credibility with executive level clients
Collaborate with sales force to bring in new accounts
EDUCATION
Bachelors Degree required
MS in business or MBA preferred
