Clinical Specialist Manager

BASIC FUNCTION:

Working without significant direction, designs, develops and delivers
customer focused training and provides complex problem solving
services in either a field or headquarters environment.

ORGANIZATION LOCATION:

This position is typically found in sales, support, or marketing
organizations.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED/QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge necessary to perform at this level is generally acquired
through a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and five years relevant
technical or clinical experience.

Demonstrated ability to take a positive, proactive, confrontive
approach to solving complex and/or unusual clinical or technical
problems.

Strong, demonstrated expertise in product and therapy knowledge.

Demonstrated ability to interact in a positive, proactive, customer
service manner with customers during stressful situations.

A high degree of interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage own time
effectively.

Ability to travel extensively.

Demonstrated ability and desire to teach. Demonstrated
self-confidence and effectiveness in dealing with a wide variety of
student types.

Demonstrated ability to design and develop training programs and
documentation.

A high energy level.

Demonstrated desire and ability to participate and motivate others in
team efforts.

Ability to interact professionally and effectively with customers,
physicians, nurses and other technical medical staff.

Demonstrated and effective leadership and managerial skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate, direct and deliver customer training programs.

Provide clinical or technical training support to field personnel.

Conduct on-site customer training.

Manage telephone calls from customer support programs.

Identify and solve complex and or unusual customer problems in a
timely manner.

Document and provide written solutions to recurring problems,
including training of others.

Identify the need for, define, and develop protocols using Gambro
instruments.

Design, develop and deliver in-service customer training programs.

Assist in clinical trials, to include design of trials, site
selection, training of site participants and performing some clinical
monitoring.

Perform ongoing market assessment of customers' technical needs and
problems.

Analyze therapy trends in the marketplace. Communicate this market
knowledge effectively.

Provide detailed input/feedback to Product Management Team to
recommend changes in product design, manufacturing, quality or any
other aspect of the product or service.

Special projects as assigned.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED/QUALIFICATIONS:

relevant technical or clinical experience in dialysis or renal
therapies. RN, MT or equivalent.

Demonstrated ability to take a positive, proactive, confrontive
approach to solving complex and/or unusual clinical or technical
problems.

Strong, demonstrated expertise in Gambro BCT and therapy knowledge.

Demonstrated ability to interact in a positive, proactive, customer
service manner with customers during stressful situations.

Demonstrated effective leadership and managerial skills.

Demonstrated knowledge of budget preparation and personnel
evaluation.

A high degree of interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage own time
effectively.

Denver based with ability to travel extensively.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide on site clinical or technical expertise to Gambro BCT
customers.

Design, develop, validate, present, and coordinate expert level
product training programs for internal personnel and customers.

Design and develop assessment and training tools to aid in the
training of new clinical, implementation and sales specialists,
in-house personnel and customers.

Design, develop, and deliver refresher training to internal and
world-wide personnel.

Design and develop independent study and computer/web based training
for field-based personnel.

Design, develop, and deliver expert level customer training programs.

Direct and support field based Clinical Specialists/BCT.

Provide expert level telephone support for customers and field-based
personnel.

Provide ongoing training and support for Clinical Support Specialists.

Perform ongoing assessment of customers' technical needs and problems
as identified through call reports and input from Clinical
Specialists and Clinical Support Specialists.

Document and provide written solutions to recurring problems,
including revising training tools and providing training.

Assist in clinical trials, to include design of trials, site
selection, training of site participants and performing some clinical
monitoring.

Provides telephone support to customers and Clinical Specialists.

Provides expertise for Gambro BCT to customers.

Supports in-house training programs and assists in training Gambro
BCT personnel.

Works with sales consultants to provide support and training to
identified customers.

Identify and solve complex and or unusual customer problems in a
timely manner.

Perform ongoing market assessment of customers' technical needs and
problems, and communicates to appropriate teams.

Works with in house specialists, sales consultants and technical
specialists to address and resolve customer issues.

Analyze therapy trends in the marketplace. Communicate this market
knowledge effectively.

Provide detailed input/feedback to Product Management Team to
recommend changes in product design, manufacturing, quality or any
other aspect of the product or service.

Special projects as assigned.
