Business Programmer Analyst, Imaging and Publishing Solutions

As part of the Imaging and Publishing team, you will be the key developer of international publishing solutions and assist in the decision making on technical implementations of all publishing related products. You will provide day to day support of the entire publishing environment, including adherence to and continuous improvement of established processes and standards. You will be implementing new mainframe applications. You will coordinate conversion from legacy publishing systems to new technologies; organize and maintain concurrent publishing resource libraries; and train and support application development personnel in relation to publishing applications.
REQUIREMENTS


Bachelor's degree in Technology related field or equivalent work experience.

5+ years work experience in JCL, REXX, and COBOL3.

Imaging application experience preferred, as well as proficiency in VLAM and the VLAM maintenance tool.

EDP Certification a plus.



Candidate must have good interpersonal, coordination, and decision-making skills, as well as be able to think "outside the box" to resolve application issues. You must also have an aptitude for learning new software and hardware to support Assurant's production document environment.



Candidates must be able to work extended hours when needed to meet business need, including providing on-call support.



We utilize a large amount of new document technology for a large number of customers. The customers include: application developers, business users, print operators, and document design personnel. The candidate must be able to adapt to these document technologies and their prior experience to resolving problems and offering consultation for application development and support. The position entails extensive involvement in analysis, design, and development of customer-based applications using Docucorp suite of tools.
